Can I have more than one PCard?

Yes, if circumstances warrant this and each card is linked to a different default account group.

Can use my PCard for personal purchases?

Under no circumstance should the PCard be used for personal transactions.

In the event a transaction is incorrectly processed on the PCard, cardholders should notify their Department Card Coordinator (DCC) for assistance.

Can I lend my PCard to someone else to make a purchase?

No. The PCard may only be used by the person whose name is on the card.

Can I use my PCard for travel expenses?

No. For Travel expenses, use the Travel and Hospitality Card.

Can I have a merchant block lifted?

In rare cases where a merchant is inappropriately classified resulting in a declined transaction, the Director of Procurement Services may authorize block lift. See Merchant Block Lifts for more information.

Can I use the PCard to register for conferences?

Yes. However, some companies register themselves as ‘travel’ or ‘professional services’ merchants, which are blocked categories and will be declined. In these cases consider using the Travel Card (TCard).

How do I cancel my PCard?

To cancel a PCard, fill out a PCard Change Request form, and under Requested Change select Card Cancellation. The form requires signatures from your Departmental Card Coordinator and Department Head.

When are PCard balances paid?

The balance on PCards are paid automatically on the 5th of each month, at which point the card’s balance is reset to the monthly limit.

Can I increase my monthly credit limit?

Yes, provided there is an acceptable rational. To increase your monthly limit, fill out a PCard Change Request form, and under Requested Change select Monthly Limit, and indicate the current and requested limit. The form requires signatures from your Departmental Card Coordinator and Department Head.

I think my PCard has been compromised. What should I do?

Contact BMO at 1-800-263-2263 immediately to cancel the card and send a replacement. BMO will send an affidavit to be signed by the cardholder and the charge will be refunded.

There is an error on my MasterCard Statement. Who do I contact?

To dispute a particular transaction, call the Bank of Montreal directly at 1-800-263-2263.

Who should I contact regarding PCard/FIS account problems?

If your PCard transactions are being posted to incorrect FIS accounts, contact your Department Card Coordinator (DCC).
