My research grant application included a specific supplier; when making a purchase, do I still need to get multiple quotes?

The supplier quote used in the application is for budgetary purposes only, and the CFI and Tri-agency grants require that the University’s Procurement Policy still applies when awarding funds. Therefore, multiple quotes are required when purchasing goods and services valued at or above $10,000.
