Are supplier debriefs required for invitational procurements under $100,000?

While a debrief for unsuccessful proponents (suppliers) is required for procurements at or above $100,000, for invitational procurements less than $100,000 there is no obligation to share any award information.

Should you choose to provide information to an unsuccessful proponent:

  • Focus on their submission – avoid disclosing information about other suppliers who took part in the competition.
  • If price was the only factor, instead of providing the award contract amount, simply advise them their quote was higher than the awarded supplier.
